Terms of Service
Last updated 16 September 2026
These terms apply when you book an appointment through Teoum, operated by James Jin, a sole proprietor. Booking an appointment means you accept them.
Booking an appointment
Choosing a time holds it for a short period while you pay the deposit. The appointment is confirmed only once payment has cleared — until then the time is not reserved for you. If payment is not completed within the hold period, the time is released and may be taken by someone else.
Deposits and payment
A deposit is taken at the time of booking to secure the appointment. The remaining balance is due on the day of the appointment, directly to James Jin. Deposit amounts are shown before you pay.
Payments are processed by Stripe. Teoum does not receive or store your card details.
Rescheduling
Your confirmation message includes a link to move your appointment. The link may be used once, and only up to the cutoff shown on that page — after that, please get in touch directly. Your deposit moves with the appointment.
Cancellation and refunds
- If James Jin cancels your appointment for any reason, your deposit is refunded in full, automatically.
- If you need to cancel, contact James Jin directly — there is no cancellation button. Deposits for client-initiated cancellations are handled case by case and are not guaranteed to be refunded, since the time was held and turned away from others.
- If nobody is there at the appointment time, or access to the property cannot be arranged, the deposit is not refunded.
Refunds are returned to the card used to pay and typically appear within five to ten business days, depending on your bank.
Service area and access
Appointments are only accepted at addresses within the stated service area. You are responsible for giving an accurate address and for arranging any access — gate codes, parking, keys — needed to carry out the work.
SMS terms
Text messages are optional. The SMS consent box on the booking form is unchecked by default, and you can book an appointment without ticking it. Ticking it means you agree to receive text messages from Teoum about that appointment; leaving it empty means you receive none.
- What you will receive: a booking confirmation, a reminder 24 hours before your appointment, a confirmation if you reschedule, and a notice if your appointment is cancelled. No marketing or promotional messages are sent.
- How often: normally two messages per appointment.
- Message and data rates may apply. Your mobile carrier’s standard charges apply to messages you receive.
- To stop: reply STOP to any message and you will receive no further texts. You may still be contacted by phone or email about a booked appointment.
- For help: reply HELP, or email jinsengyy@gmail.com.
- Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
How your number is handled is described in the Privacy Policy.
Limits
Teoum provides the booking and the service described, and nothing beyond it. Liability is limited to the amount you paid for the appointment in question. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
Changes
These terms may change; the date at the top of this page shows when they last did. The terms in force when you booked are the ones that apply to that booking.
