Privacy Policy
Last updated 16 September 2026
Teoum is an appointment booking service operated by James Jin, a sole proprietor. This policy explains what information Teoum collects when you book an appointment, why it is collected, and what is done with it.
What we collect
When you book an appointment, you provide:
- Your name
- Your mobile number
- The service address where the appointment will take place
- Your email address, if you choose to give one
- Any notes you add about the appointment
Payment card details are never collected or stored by Teoum. Deposits are handled entirely by Stripe, which processes the card and returns only a confirmation that payment succeeded.
Why we collect it
- Your name and the appointment details — to schedule the appointment and know who is being visited.
- Your address — to travel to you, and to check the appointment is within the service area.
- Your mobile number — to send a booking confirmation and a reminder before the appointment.
- Your email — only if you provide it, and only about your booking.
Your information is used to provide the service you booked. It is not used to advertise to you.
SMS information
We do not sell or share your SMS opt-in data or personal information with third parties for marketing purposes.
Text messages are optional and never a condition of booking. Consent is given only by ticking the SMS consent box on the booking form, which is unchecked by default; the date and time you ticked it is recorded. It is used only for messages about that appointment: a confirmation, a reminder 24 hours before, a confirmation if you reschedule, and a notice if the appointment is cancelled. You can stop these at any time by replying STOP. Message and data rates may apply.
Who else sees your information
Teoum uses a small number of service providers to operate, and shares only what each one needs:
- Stripe — processes deposit payments. Stripe receives the payment details you enter on its own checkout page.
- Twilio — delivers text messages. Twilio receives your mobile number and the message content.
- Neon and Vercel — host the database and the website.
Your information is not sold, rented, or given to anyone else, except where the law requires it.
How long it is kept
Appointment records are kept as a business history — to know when you were last visited and what was done. If you want your information removed, email jinsengyy@gmail.com and it will be deleted, other than anything that must be retained for tax or accounting purposes.
Your choices
- Reply STOP to any message to stop receiving texts.
- Reply HELP to any message for help.
- Email jinsengyy@gmail.com to see, correct, or delete the information held about you.
Children
Teoum is not intended for anyone under 16, and information is not knowingly collected from them.
Changes
If this policy changes, the date at the top of the page changes with it. Material changes will be noted on the booking page.
